PERSONALITY:
Tomio is the 'friend' to anyone and everyone, but he has a very select few that are what he considers close. Generally he's very kind and complacent, but he can be very inquisitive about anything and everything. He's friendly to everyone at a cool distance and well liked by almost everyone. He'll speak his mind freely and frankly, but he won't force any of it on you. As such, he expects you to do the same.
He seems to be somewhat fickle in his interests, as he has an inclination for the new and intriguing. He's a quiet analyzer: from the moment someone meets him, he'll be analyzing the person and making deductions about him or her. He loves to experiment, so if he finds something of interest in said person, he'll try dissecting his or her personality. However long the 'experiment' may be, when it might seem that they are the most important interest in his life, he'll turn around and find something else of new interest. Because of his rather fickle nature, he avoids commitments of any and all kinds, but if he happens to have one, he'll hold to it irresolutely.
He might seem touchy with all the high fives and fist pounds he might give out in greeting, but he actually doesn't like contact. If you try to hug him, he'll move out of range with a smooth move. And if by chance you do get him in a hug, he'll stay stock still or ask you to move. Though he's usually surrounded by friends, sometimes he will need to be alone. He'll be back to normal on his own, so he doesn't appreciate people confronting him in his alone-time. He's someone in the future rather than the now, so he tends to have an unclear, distant look in his eyes. You'll probably notice it when he's by himself or listening with a crowd of people.
HISTORY:
Tomio was born and raised in a small town. He is one of many brothers and sisters and pressured with only the most basic filial duties. They live very comfortably, despite their large family, due to their successful family lineage. His grandfather owns the estate that they live on, along with a dojo for the Koryu arts. His father, who is next in line to succeed the estate property, also teaches in the dojo. Tomio does not need to worry about the next succession due to his four other brothers.
Tomio was born with a very weak body and has always been easily susceptible to illness. He's inherited most of his weak constitution from his grandmother who died at an early age. He has sensitive eyes and has to wear sunglasses when it's very bright out. He has hemophilia and weak lungs, all of which he inherited from his grandmother. When he was younger, he was involved in an accident while training and lost a lot of blood. He was rushed to a small hospital close by and almost didn't make it when the hospital didn't have the blood-transfusion he needed on hand. Ever since this event, his family has been very wary for him and treated him with excessive care. Tomio, of course, appreciates the attention, but disapproves of being treated like a porcelain doll. His grandfather, seeing his deceased wife in Tomio, takes special care for his health. He's been prohibited from many of the Koryu studies that his family is involved in, but refuses to give up Sojutsu, the style his father teaches.
Not nearly as involved as his brothers, Tomio spent most of his time growing up with his sisters. He's grown with a delicate accent on life and an appreciation for things others might not see the same, but if it's not interesting enough he'll overlook it.
He might be weak in body, but he's strong in spirit. He will determinedly get things done. He doesn't like people babying him, so he refuses to tell anyone about his conditions and avoids wearing his sunglasses as much as possible. The only people that know about his health would be the people that his family has informed.
LIKES:
- The warmth of the sun.
- Cookies.
- Swimming (floating in water).
- Anything with strawberries and or bananas.
- Rain.
DISLIKES:
- Nicknames. Unless it's someone he's known for years, he absolutely hates it; otherwise he can moderately tolerate it.
- Sports and other strenuous activity.
- Dishonesty and lies.
- Having to get help.
- Hugs or any unnecessary touching
STRENGTHS:
- He's got an unusual sixth sense: his intuition is very strong. From all his analyzing and intuition he can know what someone wants without even speaking to him or her about it.
- He might seem fickle with relationships, but if you happen to really befriend him, he'll be one of the most loyal people you know.
- He has a very good power of concentration. Even though it seems like his attention is elsewhere, he will know each and every word you say to him.
- He always finds the straight through route for everything. Since he is weak in body and has no stamina, he has to do things with the least amount of activity as possible.
- He's very obstinate. When he's decided on something, he's determined to see it through to the end.
WEAKNESSES:
- It might not seem like it from his outward appearance, but he's very wary of giving out his trust. If you every happen to betray his trust, he'll hold it against you for a long time if not forever.
- He has Hemophilia, and is always has the risk of losing too much blood in a fight. He doesn't like it, but it's best to have him in the background just giving support with Callisto.
- Because of his constitution, he has very low stamina, so don't expect him to be able to run far or fight long.
- He loses his appetite very easily and tends to skip many meals without realizing it.
- Once he's made up his mind about something, it's extremely difficult to make him think different of it.
TRIVIA:
- He's the middle child of seven.
- He always has an umbrella. He never checks the weather channel. He'd rather find out by the hour, but due to his health, his family is always trying to make sure he's prepared for the weather whether he likes it or not.
- He's very good at dressing up (cross-dressing or not), due to all the time he spent with his sisters.
- He donates blood every first of the month.
- After being taken care of for so long growing up, he secretly likes it when he can help someone; If it's not done in secret, he expects compensation.
